I liked both Pusher and Home a lot. Pusher is probably my all time favorite monster of the week episode, and if I squeeze a bit (excuse the pun) I can fit Home on my X-files top ten list as well.

In my opinion, everything about Pusher is great. I just love the Mulder and Scully interaction throughout the episode. Robert Wisden who plays Robert Modell, is perfect for the part, and after seeing him in this one, I'm always happy to see him guest star in another shows. I wonder why he always gets to play the bad guy? ;-)

I was looking forward to the sequel, Kitsunegari, but to me it was a disappointment. Suddenly Modell has a heart? Oh please. That sister of his wasn't so convincing either, and the ending was predictable. It could have been a good episode, but to me it feels like they probably just wanted to continue the Pusher saga, and did it too fast without having the time to make up a better script. I wish they had left the whole sister out of it (even though I enjoyed the way she made her husband die out of swallowing the blue paint, or was it like that, it's been a while since I've seen it last). That was a cool visual trick, but I think that Pusher's way better in the visual department too.

Well, Kitsunegari isn't a bad episode, but as I said, I was disappointed. I think that Pusher is a great Mulder and Scully ep, one of those that shows just how good friends they are (I just love the stake out in the car - almost as much as the one in Tooms, I wish they'd do those more often!) and the sequel focused on something completely else.

Uh, there's a class starting in this room, I must find another one or continue later at home... I could go on and on about those episodes!

Cookie of the week.
