Hi Chantal!

Thanks for your reply! An exellent post that set me thinking. Thanks for explaining the connection to the Wizard of Oz a bit more. I couldn't remember that story very well.

I agree that parallel universes or a riff in the space-time continuum is a possible explanation for the events in this ep. I've been thinking about this theory ever since I first saw Triangle. It fits well into the paranormal scope of TXF, as you say.

It's a bit hard to explain, but in the case of this particular ep I found it hard to suspend my disbelief. So far, it's been easier to believe it's all a dream. I think the humor, and Wizard of Oz stuff in this ep are partly to blame. The humor in this ep doesn't work very well for me, and I didn't get the Wizard of Oz references.

I liked your post very much though, and it enabled me to look at this ep, and the parallel universe theory from a fresh perspective. I can understand why you want to believe in *this* theory. I'd like to believe it too, but I'm a hard person to convince! ;o) (You very nearly managed too though!)

Regarding Mulder's 'growth': At first, the kiss and the "I love you" bothered me. I don't like to see TXF turn into a soap. But now, I guess it was inevitable - the "I love you", I mean. Mulder is finally admitting his feelings that were obviously there for a long while. You got to admire his courage. BTW, I too saw no evidence that he was badly drugged when he said "I love you".

Mat
