Fantastic thoughts, Chantal! :o)

I'm tending towards the parallel universe theory, personally too. The bit I couldn't understand when Scully said 'It was nothing but a ghost ship' was that she was dismissing something that was worthy of investigation in its own right. Surely a ship thought to have been torpedoed 60 years ago reappearing under full power warranted more of a comment than that?! But yeah, I think I prefer to have the ep occur in two different but parallel timelines. That kind of sorts out the problem of how Mulder could be face down in the water for at least 6 hours and still be alive, if not particularly well!! That's the main problem I have with the dream scenario, I think. It's all down to time, isn't it? ;o)

Interesting what you said about this not accounting for Scully's behaviour in the FBI building. I liked cvl (or maybe Agent M's) comment that maybe this was filmed from Scully's viewpoint. We know how calm and stony faced she can be in the face of all kinds of trauma, but maybe we were allowed to see what really goes on in her mind when she's trying to 'just make it happen'. I like that explanation! I know that personally, I can give a totally different demeanour on the outside compared with what I'm really feeling, and I'm sure Scully is far more skilled in covering up her true feelings than I am. Dunno what gives me that impression... maybe the fact that she's never jumped Mulder? LOLOL!

But you see, I've never really believed that the events of the Wizard of Oz were all just a dream either!! You're right though, it does explain a lot of things. Doesn't explain how Mulder stayed floating face down in the water all that time without dying though, does it? ;o)

I jumped in already with my thoughts on those three little words.

Thanks for giving us your take on it all Chantal.
