Chantal, I so agree with you paragraph about not being a shipper but wanting Mulder to be happy, so in a way having to accept the inevitable. For me, these sentiments all go towards my feeling that whatever Mulder does (and Scully too for that matter), they should remain true to who they are. So every noromo, or fencesitter, can't really expect the action to go how *we* want. It will be what it is. And the same goes for die hard shippers. Just because they desire M & S to be in a romantic relationship, doesn't mean these two convincing individuals will oblige. Does that make sense?

I wanted to acknowledge your thoughts by saying it sort of ties in with my own. Whether it is bowing to the inevitable or being realistic or wanting what's best for Mulder, I am not too unhappy at the way the MSR is proceeding.
