I won't discount the fact that the whole thing might have just been CC trying to do something artsy (and win that Emmy which he didn't), but I thought it turned out wel ispite of itself. I guess I liked it because it was inventive and so much other dramatic TV by comparison ell..doesn't compare. A lot of other TV programs have been trying to do gimmicks to make their show have a bigger draw such as ER doing that live episode, Chicago Hope (do you get that there?) doing a musical a la the film All That Jazz. Gimmicks seem to be the in thing lately and I guess my point is that even if we call Triangle an excercise in gimmickry I thought it still looked great and a lot more effort was put into it than they even needed to. So much attention was paid to detail and the parallel characters.

But I can see people's objecions that it just didn't fit into the X-Files world properly as an episode.

The darkness was indeed very irritating during the kiss! You notice I didn't choose a picture of the kiss for this page--because the ones available were just too dark! I thought some of the early scenes when Mulder first arrived on ship were dark too. It was very difficult to make out that that guy Mulder beat up was Spender. I'm not sure what went wrong with that. It seemd more like a technical eror than intentional. That would be a question to ask someone on the crew if they would be willing to answer it.

I didn't see Mulder's big grin as him being nervous. In fact I thought he seemed totally turned on by her actions and really liked her response. Like he was saying, "atta girl Scully! Don't put up with any s#@t! Even from me!" As I mentioned above I think that Scully's strong character is one of the things Mulder likes most about her and he really enjoyed this display even if it wasn't exactly her.

Congrats on managing to avoid the ILY spoiler. Especially for well over a year! I hadn't! I didn't have any surprises about this ep really.
