People had threads posted with really clever comments of
things Mulder could have said instead. And I remember I
couldn't think of much clever to add!

But I'll try to be wittier this time!

I agree Mulder could have said a ton of things to help
convince Scully but at the same time I liked his
mentioning "Even that yogart thing?"--one of my favorite
lines from that! It brought up an interesting closeness
between them that we as viewers may not have thought of
much before and that's that they share their lunches at
work. Nic I think it was you who was asking after
Triangle about where Mulder and Scully worked now and now
you know they are both out there in a big office with a
bunch of other employees.

What's funny is they are right next to each other. Do you
suppose they asked Kersh, 'Uh, can we be desk buddies
pleeeeze!" Or perhaps none of the other employees want to
be near them! They are kind of like two of the nerds in
school. Maybe that's why they have to eat lunch only with
each other! No one else wants to hang out with them.
Anyway I liked the change this season with them and their
desks next to each other (And Scully HAS a desk!) .

Ok let's see, what could Mulder have said to convince
Scully it was him?

"Scully I've seen you in your underwear! You asked me to
check the bumps on your back. Heck, I've seen you naked!
Remember when I saved you in the Antarctic? Oh, wait. You
did say you were a little fuzzy on the details about
that. Scratch that one."

"Remember the time when you fell asleep on my shoulder
and you drooled on me?"

"Scully how about when you shot me in the shoulder to
keep me from killing Krycek! I forgave you for that one
Scully. Can't you cut me a break here?"

"Or what about after my father was killed and I went to
your apartment and you took care of me? That was so nice
of you, Scully. Somehow I wound up in my underwear. You
never did explain how *that* happened!"

"And remember when we worked on that cockroach case with
Bambi?.....OK, forget Bambi!"

"And remember when you sang to me in the woods when I was
in shock? Who else would put up with your singing Scully
but me? If I'm wiling to listen to you sing the least you
can do is listen to me now!...Scully?"

OK, that's all for now! Maybe I'll think of more later!
