Those were the good old days!! That BB discussion was almost as much fun as the ep itself! ;o)

ITA with you Devlin, GA's and DD's timing was exellent in this one. It's been a while since I've last seen BB, but in my memory it's perfect. It's my favourite humourous ep.

The two versions of the story is also what I like best about this ep. It's all done so extremely well, that I don't mind the occasional out-of-character behaviour. In fact, I think that would M&S's behaviour have been in character the whole time, it probably wouldn't have been as much fun.

The whole thing reminded me of occassions where someone you know from work, or some sort of other 'official' or formal business, suddenly shows his/her 'unformal' side; shows the person lurking beneath that formal exterior. You realize that that person has all the little errors that make us human. In a sense that's what happened to M&S too. We saw their human, sometimes childish, side. We saw Mulder kick the basket and Scully throw the dead men's internal organs on the scales.

There was one out-of-character scene that did bother me though, and that's the 'stake' scene Det mentioned. It may have been necessary for the story, but I don't like to see Mulder (or Scully for that matter) go about killing 'people', not like this anyway (Uh... does that make sense?)

Mat
