I agree, that the scene where they refused her the adoption was very upsetting. You could feel her anguish. I was also very moved by the scene in the doctor's office when she learned more about the fact that she couldn't have children. But what was worse, was that Mulder already knew. He had never told her this very personal thing and there they were, discussing her intimate details aloud. I felt really sorry for her.

And we still to this day don't know what happened to Scully's ova!
