Black eyes, rimmed with gold-fyre lock upon the band of horses below. They were all so grand -so majestic.. the little mare had never seen such a group in her life. She had encountered struggling rogues, and odd beasts with hunched backs and squared jaws, but all of these horses were beautiful, stately creatures. There! Over there was a handsome stallion.. but she snorted a laugh in spite of her apprehension. No one would ever accept her as more than a run-down, scraggly creature..

..hawk is a vigorous, spritely creature with a magical hint of life in her moon-rimmed orbs. she is unaware of her apparent beauty, and quite skeptical of it as well. she daydreams quite often of having a strong, handsome mate to fulfill the emptiness inside, and take her heart and set it free..
