that they were curious about eachother and kind of fascinated by eachother. Each knew that the other was deep and I think both their curiosities wanted to find out how far down the other went. I think Mulder never stopped amazing Scully and I think he had more of an attraction for her than she did for him in the beginning. Meaning that her attraction was more admiration/fascination/curiosity /let's see if his reputation was accurate, type thing. I think he saw her as someone to play games with, play with her head like he likes to do but also someone he could impart knowledge to , a potential understander of him at long last. I think he saw that potential in her because she was interested in him and not coming to him with the notion to put him down. He was defensive because he knew she was sent to spy on him but his attitude towards her changed after he found out that she just was interested in working with him instead of against him. I think he was attracted right from the start but not enough to do anything about it. I think he sensed that she was a bit of a cold fish where he was concerned and that is why he got such pleasure in saying those sexual inuendo things because he knew that she would just ignore him as she did and take him with a grain of salt on the surface but I reckon she loved it underneath.

I really marvel to look at pics like the one above and try to see them then and how they are now. I have alot of trouble seeing Scully as the same person and I guess Mulder too, in a way. Scully looks different though. I think she changed forever in the season with HOME and Detoured. Her look changed and after that season[s]....maybe S6 she began to look and act more like the Scully of today. She was very babyish in the beginning. For the first 3 seasons. She definitely matured in the last 3. Him too I guess although not as noticeable. I marvel at the way the relationship just grew all on it's own inspite of the creator and writers. It is truely amazing. I really don't think there will ever be another TV relationship that can come anywhere near the depth and development of the MSR. The mind boggles.
