I like that idea of weeder classes. The problem with our school is the intro classes are so basic, designed so everyone can get their requirement even though they are not majoring in the subject. Then the 200 courses are really tough. I am doing my first two years of University at a community college. On the good side, the classes are smaller, its closer to home and its a heck of a lot cheaper. On the bad side, it is easy to slide through and if I do then I will be waaayyyy over my head when I finally make third year up at the BIG school.

What are you planning on majoring in? I am guessing it is something in the physical sciences frrom your course discription.

I don't get any XFiles courses either but my Crim class is centered (loosely) around the movie 'Traffic'. It wasn't a movie that was ever on my must see list, guess it is now!!!
