"Letters from politicians, all of them!" She snarls throwing the mail back down on the bar. She misses one, small, slightly beat up envelope at the bottom of the pile. "I already voted."
She stops and frowns, rubbing her throat.

CW strolls over, flaunting her new boyfriend. The sisters glance back over at the table, watching Stardoe stroke the man's fingers when CW's back is turned. Kande's eyebrows rise, and she looks significantly at her Sis, who seems to be having difficulty swallowing.

"You missed one," CW picks up the battered envelope and dangles it in front of KS who ignores it. "What's wrong with you?"

"I think I've got strep throat," KS rasps. She staggers over to the couch Kande recently put in a quiet corner of the bar and lies down.

"Oh no you don't!" Kande screeches at her. "If you've got strep throat, I don't want your germs in here."

"Too late," her sister informs her in a thickened voice. "I licked all the utensils when I made you those sugar cookies."

"Argh! Germs!" Kande reels against the bar, beckoning towards Bubba to bring her the special vitamin C gargle she uses in emergencies.

"Helloo!" CW impatiently stamps her foot. She needs the Kande sisters to look at this envelope so she can go back to her man before Stardoe mauls him.
