I think they need warmer climates. Kersh told them to head to Canada and get on the first flight. I think you should live out that fantasy for them, don't you? What about a flight heading southwest for about 12 hours. After all, they are not getting any younger and warmer climes are best for arthritis.

But if that's not possible, I'd go for the artificial light due to the fact that too much natural light will fade them [even more] and could even rot their flesh. Most of my childhood dolls met their end that way. Years of sitting on a shelf in a very brightly sunlit room after I'd grown up just turned them pale and/or brittle. Go the closet. Preservation is of utmost importance. Stay away from the sun. [What am I saying?]
