Kande and KM are huddled together under the Mayor's desk, whispering on the phone. "We don't know anyone by the name of Kay-Ess," Kande informs the anonymous voice on the other end. "And did you say she was wearing really ugly shoes? We certainly don't know anyone like that."

"And Kande doesn't have a sister, unless you count me and I'm adopted," KM chimes in.

"Infidel liars!" the voice on the other end roars. "If you two don't settle this dispute soon, the assassin dies!" There's a loud click and then a dial tone.

"Ha, like that old trick would work with us," Kande crawls out from beneath the desk and brushes dustbunnies off her black bicycle shorts.

"Right. Ha, ha! We're on to them," KM agrees, making a note to charge anyone who calls her an infidel. She looks over at Kande who is standing in the middle of the room, looking bewildered.

"Have you seen my shoes?" Kande asks.

Meanwhile, back in the middle of the restless mob...Bubba glances over at the woman who responded to his lonely hearts ad in the Noromo Gazette. He flutters his eyelashes at her. Looking at him, she flutters her eyelashes back. Rabid stalks by with a picket sign and does a doubletake.

"Eeeeeewwwww!" she screeches. "Alien sex! I've been exposed!"
