This is a new service to her area, and with everything, the price will go down once it becomes more popular and possibly when the first company gets some compitition. It was the same here. I live in a very urban area and when broadband first arived it was over $100 per month then about $500 for equipment to get it started. Needless to say not many people signed up. As time went on, technology improved, making it cheaper, plus the first company got some compitition. We pay $30 a month now but are still being tempted by the opther company who is offering it for less and free hook up.

LOL, you rural aussies don't get a break do you Stardoe!
