You know what I thought was really interesting about Scully in this episode? The fact that even though she didn't tell Mulder what she was doing, it still bothered her that she didn't. She tried to let him know what was going on with those tapes. Granted, I don't think we've ever had any manifestation of what Mulder's thinking when he ditches Scully, I somehow doubt he's feeling guilty. Scully is just more compassionate than him, I suppose. Then again, she is a woman and Mulder is a man so it does make sense.
