Okay, we all know that Scully was a Navy Brat who grew up all over the place (apparently she spent more time in California than anyplace else, which makes sense; I know there are several different Naval bases in various parts of the state). But does everybody else share my impression that Scully's Mom apparently grew up somewhere in the Maryland/Virginia area and that all their extended family (i.e. the "Aunt Olive" mentioned in "Rain King") is fairly nearby?
I don't know if this has ever actually been mentioned in the show, if I read it in a fanfic or if it's just something I'm assuming.
