X-Files star hurt in fall

X-Files star Gillian Anderson has been injured in a fall at her home.

She suffered suspected back and hip injuries in the accident at her home in Notting Hill, west London.

A spokesman for the private Cromwell Hospital in Earl's Court says Anderson was admitted by ambulance in the early hours of Monday.
Her fiance Julian Ozanne is believed to have been in the house at the time, but the circumstances of the fall are not known.

She was carried to the ambulance strapped to a stretcher and was immediately taken for X-rays. The extent of her injuries is not known.
