How interesting to read all these posts. I know a lot of folks who watch but don't pay attention to all the subtle references and even if they did there's no guarantee it would mean anything. Their main interest is in "the action" and that means quite a variety of things. Personally I enjoy all these extra things--XFiles did that in many of their episodes.

I frankly think that the bunkers are separatated by that huge cement wall that Sayid tried to break through. Also I get the impression that part of the experiment was based on "haves" vs "have-nots" and that the later were supposed to find the "haves." I can't help but wonder if the crooks who took Walt are in a third bunker nestled in another inaccessible section of the island.

There are two outside doors that we've seen so why the hatch? Is there more than one hatch? Maybe the folks who set this experiment up were aliens? All I know is that there is a lot of equipment that has to use a lot of energy. There is some sort of magnetic energy field there, at least some sort of magnetism to attract Jack's necklace.

I found it interesting that Rose knew Bernard was still alive and keeping a candy bar for him was a nice touch. Maybe one "lesson" the show is trying to teach is to not jump to any conclusions without the facts?
