I'm continuing to enjoy this although it's still not "must see" TV for me.

I kind of get a kick out of how Rick Castle portrays of himself as being "irresponsible" while, at the same time:

1. Providing both emotional and financial support for his teenage daughter and elderly mother
2. Working hard at his profession, including putting many hours of research into his novels
3. Looking out for various people he comes into contact with, like his daughter's ex-babysitter, the cops he works with, etc.

Would that all men were as "irresponsible" as he is!!
