Lots of insight into Juliet's story and the Others too. Pregnancy being important. Claire is the first woman to give birth on the island! She was in pain after the crash, maybe not the trauma but the island making her reject her pregnanacy as a "disease". So why did Ben get sick? Did he really cure Juliet's sister? I think the goal of the Others is to find out how the island cures diseases & use them in the rest of the world. Cures for cancer would be very profitable. Or perhaps they have even bigger intentions.
