Subject: Last week's "Grimm" and an old XF ep (spoilers for 10/12)

The 10/12 ep of "Grimm" echoed the classic XF ep "Eve".

The major difference was that even though each ep featured a pre-teen girl who was a killer, the mother's reaction in "Grimm" was "She's just a child; she needs help. We can't hold her responsible for her actions."

In "Eve" the mother's reaction to the accusation that her daughter was a murderer was not to say "She needs help" or even, for that matter, to demand proof that it was true. When a couple of FBI agents showed up and said "Your daughter is a murderer" the mother's response was "Okay. Take her away and lock her up somewhere. I don't care if I ever see her again."

To me, the mother's reaction in "Eve" made her more of a monster than her killer-daugher!
