This is why I no longer watch the first season of new shows, unless they're spinoffs of other, highly-successful shows. I've just been burned WAY too many times in starting to watch a show, really enjoying it, and then having it cancelled after anywhere from 2 to 10 episodes.

I also just don't understand the business rationale of cancelling a show after fewer than five eps. Some shows take awhile to build and audience and need a month or two for word of mouth to get around.
