I think we are stuck with so many of these shows because of social media becoming the "in thing" unfortunately. People are spending more time online in social media sites instead of watching soap operas (or daytime drama) which used to be "real life" entertainment. This has carried over into tv programming and resulted in far too many brainless shows. You don't need to have any talent to produce, write or perform in these things. At least there are more good shows on to offset the boring "reality things!"
