Had to tape the 2nd half in order to see the Alias finale. I think I'm done with 24. It's the same old story everytime. Only jack can save the world, CTU is infiltrated or caught in red tape or infighting, the prez has to weigh the political dangers of each move (well, this year was a bit different), silly personal sub-plots come & go in the blink of an eye, etc.
How many of you cringed when the First Lady had to seduce Pres. Logan? Jack got hardcore again when he shot Henderson dead, will that navy guy report him? How is Jack went from a presidental assassin to being treated & released in about 5 minutes? I was wondering if the Chinese would enter into things once it was known Jack was alive, good thing they waited until the crisis was over. I think Jack having to deal with the Chinese while doing his mission would have been a better plot for the season.
Now, will S6 start with Jack being busted out of China? Will Jack be brainwashed to work for them? (too Cold War) Maybe an international 24 rather than another LA 24. I actually skipped some eps this season without feeling I missed much. I wondered how Jack could come back after last season's ending & was pretty disappointed so I won't hold my breath for this one.
