I like Medium but missed that episode. As for Logan's wife, I suspect that Walt Cummings made up all sorts of things to make her look like she was crazy just to get her out of the way so he could be the "confidant." He certainly wanted to get rid of her!
Palmer and the First Lady knew each other from a long time ago--college I thought she had said. I suspect that she wasn't "crazy" and Palmer knew it. Also, she was probably the only way he could get to the President after last season.
