I've seen the previews and - while the show itself looks kind of interesting -- I had to chuckle a little about how it seems like we're always being told that we're going to have lifelike robots about 35 years from whenever we presently are.

Back in the 1970s, the humanoid robots (androids or whatever they're going to call them)were supposedly going to be part of our daily lives by about 2010 or so. Now they're telling us they'll be around by 2048 (35 years from now). I'd be willing to bet money that in 2048 they'll be making shows about how we're going to have humanoid robots in 2083. (And, considering my grandmother is now 99, I totally expect to still be around in 2048, although I'll be well into my 80s by that point. But I really doubt we're going to have robots.)

It seems like humanoid robots -- along with space colonization - are concepts that, if they were ever going to happen, would have happened by now.
