*The seven year old slips silently through the brush, looking around. Her eyes, now adjusted to the dark, search for movement. She begins to run silently. Since she had been abandoned she had become almost one with the wood. She knew almost everything about it and what it had to tell. Running faster, she listens carefully and can almost sense the rock about 3 feet infront of her. At just the right moment she jumps out of the way. She slows, and lies onto a bed of leaves. Slowly, she falls into a deep sleep.*
..::Two hours later::..
*The girl awakens to what seems to be the scream of a woman. Anna looks about, her eyes shining in the little light she had from the moon. Standing up, she glances around again, hearing the scream again. At the moment she takes a few steps behind a tree, a deer speeds across her resting spot, followed closley by a cougar. After Anna realizes they are gone, she walks a bit further the other direction. She pauses, hearing something in the brush, a rustle and a hiss. She begins to walk faster then breaks into a run. With fear creeping up on her she forgets to listen and suddenly, she trips on a root. Being sent flying, she is sprawled on the ground, unconscious. She lies there, in a deep sleep.*

No one knew what he had gone through. No one could relate to him because no one knew what had happened. If someone would ask, depending on who it was he might tell, but he would just go up to someone Hey, can I tell you my life story and all the bad things that happened? He felt that was rather stupid. He felt that he was failing in being strong. He was weak in his eyes. He had let the world get him down and he hated it, yet, he didn't know how to change it....*

*Hope limped in, breathing heavily with her rapid steps. Once she had determined she was in the middle of the woods, far from the orphanage, she sat down carefully, panting for air. She was in so much pain she could hardly stand it, and she wished for medicine from the doctor to make it all go away. But the freshness of the air exhilirated her, and she felt relieved. She only regretted leaving Katie behind-bound for the horrors of mankind, the cruelty and unfairness. But there was nothing she could do at the present moment, she decided, so she turned on her side and curled up into a protective little ball. After a few moments of fitful tossing, she faded into a deep sleep.*
*From the dark shadows of the wilderness, two golden o0rbs peered from the darkness. Sharp and steady, they advanced slowly and silently, te paws supporting them silent as a cool breeze. The lion moved slowly, skillfully avoiding anything that could potentially create noise. She was smart, and when she leapt through the air, she was deadly accurate. Her sharp teeth sank into the neck of the young maiden, a cool trickle of blood oozing out before the child even had a chance to awaken. The lion bit again, slashing at its prey skillfully with its claws, assuring that it was dead. When she was satasfied that her prey was no longer living, she picked at the meat, but found it sour and insufficient for her tastes. Disregarding the barely-eaten carcass with disgust, she padded off silently, to leave Hope-alone, and dead.*

She rushed into the forest on her single crutch. She left a puculiar trail, one foot step, one crutch mark. She didn't stop until she realized that she was pretty far in, then she stopped and gazed upward at the light falling through the leaves like fairies. Then she continued until she found the stream, she sat down on the rock, gazing into the stream, her reflection gazing back at her. She wanted to cry so badly it hurt, she wanted to scream, and to shout out curse words, to kick something, and at the same time somehow she had developed almost a need to talk, to be held, to socialize, a strange thing for Lydia...Lydia doesn't need the rest of the world, that's who Lydia is, Lydia doesn't need someone to talk to, she was too cold for that, too stiff to need a hug, too hateful to care about whether she hurt...but then why did she feel so desperate now. She bit her lip as she took notice of her reflection. There gazing back at her was a beautiful fifteen year old girl, with long dark hair, and a mellow dark skin tone. Her features were obviously Indian, except for her violent blue eyes. The strength about the indian staring back at her was amusing. She picked up a rock and threw it at her reflection...she hated it...she hated it because it was who she was...it was the reason for everything that had gone wrong in her life. But her reflection only rippled nd reappeared, as if taunting her, singing that she would always be what she saw there. She turned her gaze away from the stream, trying to ignore the taunting of it. She closed her eyes...why had she bothered even trying? She knew it would only end up tis way...with more hurt in her heart....

Looking behind her every so often. She sighs tiredly as she leans against a tree to catch her breath as she places one hand on her round stomach. Anger and sorrow fly across her face in remembrance of all that had happened to her. She considers sitting down for a few minutes but is fearful that she won't be able to get back up off the ground and so remains standing until she can regain her breath.

Moondancer gallops through the forest weaving inbetween trees, jumping logs, and dodging branches. The young black mare stops at a large creek, where a large rock stood on the edge of the bank. Hattie jumped off even before Moondancer stopped. She took off her clothes and set them on the rock before jumping in the cold water. She washed her body with the pebbles on creeks floor, scraping them all over her dirty skin. She always washed her hair with mud then soaked it with the spring water. Her scraps and open wounds stung badly but she ignored the pain and fought back the tears.

farther than most people would go, but this was her forest, she wouldn't get lost into, and she knew most people would go that deep into the forest and that's just what she wanted. She didn't want to see another human for a long time. She tossed her backpack and gun aside, and leaned against a tree in tears... She allowed herself to ease slowly down until she was sitting with her knees against her chest and her back against the tree. She hugged her legs and cried into her knees. Why did Henry have to show up? She whiped the tears away, though they only returned. Why did Henry have to ruin everything? She looked up into the ceiling of trees. Her wolf came and sat by her side, she sighed, glad to have some sort of comfort. Her wolf was someone who completely understood very last one of her problems...She put her arm around the wolf and it layed down, half of it's body in her lap... She layed down, looking up at the trees that only let a few specks of light through, she sat there in thoughts she wouldn't share with anyone, and then accidently fell asleep, her wolf laying next to her, though he refuses to fall asleep because of his duty to guard his master...

He walks through the forest, looking for things that could be of use to him. He sighs, he hates going into town unless he absolutely has to, so he avoids it as much as possible. He sees a human form and a dog ahead of him and turns away from them, so as not to have any trouble. In his experience most people who hang out this deep in the woods don't want to be bothered, though he enjoys human company occasionally, he can easily do without it, if he has his dog.
Seeing this human in the distance reminds him of when he was young and had friends. The whole community that he had grown up in split up and moved out of the South due to the oppression that they received, he never could understand how people could be so mean to other people who had done nothing to them.
He looks at Autumn and says "I'm glad dogs aren't prejudice." He then leans down and starts digging up a root, once he gets it out he puts it in his bag. Looking around he doesn't see and more places where the roots would be and walks on. After a while he comes to some bushes with berries, and after close examination, he identifies them as black berries, he then puts them in a basket, with a lid, that he had made.
He starts looking for long grasses that he could use to make things like baskets, and heads towards the swamp.
