The seeds were sewn and the loyalties committed for the season to come, a monster was born and the B troop was its name. I write 3 games in and with four points more than I would really have hoped for to be fair and in a tired, emotional frame of mind after Barno forced me out for a 5.30am ruby on Saturday I well up with pride at how far we have come. We have also done it in the way we wanted. It is a great achievement to have won twice playing with 11, 9 and 11 different players in our 3 games so far and leaving nobody who had made the effort without a starting berth, so well done all, we have come a long way and in the early days of our young club the signs are all good. Mainly though it has been a fuc%ing good laugh. Ignore Barnos comments about us ruining his liver, it was buggered already after the hammer it has taken over the years. The scream of a night at the Pied Bull, the debauchery witnessed in the win over the bewildered Bridge in and the first night nerves against the cottage have created legends already. Long may that continue. The Coach will be tough going after a 100% start but Roly, Fat Scottish landlord and Rolys kid brother are not the point of the evening to be fair. We are hoping to take a dozen lads for a good old fashioned city cenre knees up, cheap drinks and a nice buffet style feed. If we remain competitive it will be a bonus. The stallworts who pledged their loyalty on that Saltney night in the form of the Lawnmower Man, Bulldog, and our Mark have remained good to their word and been available every week. Barno is a 100% record on the attendance also and the old school faces mixed with the new blood have truly proved to be a 'Cocktail of Dreams' for an almost bewildered captain. So good luck tomorrow and keep on living the dream lads. Remember there are somme things that make us all the same, you, me, them , everybody, everybody!!!
