I'm sure he's not 100% responsible, but I have to believe that assistant Kevin Zabo is primarily responsible for landing Kumu. Both Zabo and Kumu are from Quebec. Zabo once ran "Get Better Basketball" in Montreal. I know that one of Zabo's primary recruiting areas is Canada and making inroads to Fort Erie Academy (which turns out many mid and high major kids) can only pay dividends down the road.
