I reflect upon God's love

As sleepy days wind down to evening
And eerie shadows fill the room
The honeysuckle by the window
Ushers in its sweet perfume.

Outside the wind is softly sighing
Like a baby’s fretful whine
And the dusk is swiftly creeping
O’er the land by God’s design.

‘Tis then that quiet shrouds my room
and I am trapped in thought
As I reflect upon God’s love
And beauties He has wrought.

When Love walks in the valley
And I am laid to rest
I trust it will be said of me
He strove to do his best!
