Subject: Tampion Sound-Day 4 Belamore

Baron Ringular scanned the preparations, squinting into the hanging fog.

"Fear not, old friend." Blekengus slammed his monster hand down on
Ringular's shoulder. "All is ready. The Tancan expect us to be 30
miles back in Tampion Castle, quaking in fear. We shall massacre them."
Blekengus waved his hand to his right. "Vander has rigged the nets to
the southern shores and I have them secure on the north wall shores. We
allow the first to pass over to us here on the west docks and shoreline,
then raise the nets and trap this fleet of fools. We have bound arrows
with straw and oil-soaked rags. The archers on the north shore wall and
the forests in the south shore forest shorelines will burn the barges
and boats as they are dead in the water. While our catapults and
archers here attack those we let through. The men at arms are in
position should any of the Tancan reach any of the shores. If the
dragon comes to help; he comes, if not, we don't need him. Fear not, my
friend, fear not...this shall be a good fight to right the cruelty and
punish the murderers and ravages of the your lands."
...

In a symphony from hell the Tancan task masters whipped the slaves and
forced them to pull and push the barges into the water. Hundred of open
craft and the special covered barges. The slaves under lash and stick
loaded the catapults from the docks onto the over-large barges with the
outriggers on the sides to keep the top-heavy loads from upending.

The slavers worked the captives through the night and as the sun was
coming up the order sounded down from General Kancore.

"Man the barges with oarsmen from the strongest of the slaves and kill
the rest,we have no need of them, they are spent." Kancore wiped
chicken grease from his mouth and threw the half-eaten carcass to a pack
of dogs. He laughed as the dogs attacked each other for the prize.
"Board the barges, we cross!!!"
...
Through the night, Ringular, Blekengus and the Earl of Tampion and all
the men of the west listened, helplessly to the slaughter, the screams
and the hideous laughter through the fog, that echoed throughout the
long night.
...
