Note: Chronologically, this occurred before Mitlan and Nickoli met at the Three Barrel Dreg. Ghost is the narrator. I didn�t know exactly who to post it under because it is in the third person.

Nickoli was having trouble sleeping lately, consumed entirely by ambition, riches and the words of the Queen Lady thing. He is still uncertain what visited him that day but she was not the real Queen. She seemed powerful indeed, someone worthy of this servitude for the proper pay of course.

But is she telling the truth? Ezella is daughter to King Belamore�Shane prince and heir to the throne. The Queen Lady thing wants to raise Shane to be the greatest king on earth. He wonders what she means by that.

And what about the blue mist witchery�. � that took his arm? As far as he is concerned, the boy can stay there forever. It is very troubling to him however that he is not Shane�s real father. No one must know. No one must ever know and he vows to ensure just that. When the time comes, Ezella can retrieve Shane from the mist. He must find her. And Belamore�. he must also find him. But most of all he wants to talk to the Queen Lady thing again but he does not know how to find her. So he waits�
