Subject: The two stride silently through the shifting sand, footfalls muffled...

Dull scales shine in the sunlight as Gwydion stumbles down an unusually large dune. "Well you cetainly chose a nice route to take, eh Jallen?" "Let me remind you that this was your shortcut, not mine." The male laughs, forked down flicking between crystal clean fangs. "Suppose yer right..." Two pairs of dull black eyes scan the horizon, two pairs of dull orbs narrowing against a blast of wind. "What say we siddown fer a while; we won't make it there this eve, no matter how fast we're movin'." He plops down on the sand aside his reptillian companion, careful not to sit upon his tail. They sit and watch the dot that was Kiarn, wondering what they would find within it's gates.

"Hello, Juniper. I'm Gwydion, and this's Jallen." The large lizard nods, dull eyes fixating on the Snowy Owl. Simaltaneously, two pairs of forked tongues flick out, before the male nods once again. "We came out here cuz this's the fastest way to travel from Kiarn to Mayin." Knowing that most do not know of the city, he turns to motion in the opposite direction from where the pair of feathered lifemates had come. "It's a large city, down that way. We were told to come ahead and find a route through here, so the supply vehicles can come here easier."
