My gosh Con, that's like asking which member of my family I like best!
Hmm.. here are a few:
Laura Ingalls Wilder's whole "Little House" series.
James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small" series
I love any Patricia Cornwell novel; A.Scott Berg's Biography's are excellent (his recent one on Lindberg is a must read); Geez, I'm doing authors not books...but I can't pick just one. All of the books I have read have made an impact and changed me in some way. Either moved me, or changed my outlook, or added to my knowledge, etc.
If I pick one, it would be "Little House on the Praire" because I felt an instant connection with Laura. Even a hundred years later we deal with the same things: family, sickness, death, growing up, siblings, hard work; worry; stress; etc.. Just proves the old adage: the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Sorry, got carried away! But books are a great love of mine, can't help it!
Thanks Con!
