Houston, we have liftoff.

I first want to thank Noel and Jan for their tireless efforts this past week to secure the signature capability within our new message board. They have been over there, with their hardhats and tool belts on, working together with the support staff of our new forum to determine the configuration requirements/needs. With the exception of a few servers, most signatures will work. For those signatures that will not work, Jan has isolated the issue and is sending those who have "Signatures by Jan" new codes as we speak. She was also kind enough to post instructions for adding your signature to your post...and you will find her post in the new forum under "The Signature Stop" (the new forum also offers the capability to add it to your profile and each time you post your signature will automatically read in). And not knowing when to quit bothering her for favors, I was shameless enough to ask her to moderate The Signature Stop as well.. and, to my great relief she agreed!

Registration to the new forum is quick and painless and takes only a few moments.. after which you will receive a computer-generated password sent automatically to your mailbox (receipt time for passwords is approximately ½ hour after registration). Upon receipt of this password, simply log on to the forum and update your profile to any password you like. You will see that the new center affords us the capability to add a few more categories, as well as links to our current board, message center guidelines, and The Club House. In addition to that, it also offers member-to-member private messaging, as well as many other functions we'll have fun figuring out together.

As said recently, both this board and our new one will run simultaneously to ensure that everyone has had a chance to become familiar with the new forum. I am looking at January 1st as a possible target date to switch this board over to "archive/read-only" status; however, I will revisit this goal as we draw closer to that date to ensure that the timing is appropriate.

Again, if you have any questions or concerns along the way, please don't hesitate to contact either Noel, Jan, or myself.. or perhaps put a post out that addresses your need as other's may have the same question and/or be able to assist you.
