"A Time to Kill" (ATTK) by John Grisham.

I worked for B. Dalton during John's rise to fame and was actually the first employee to read "The Firm." (TF) We were able to check out the hardbacks so I took TF home and finished it in one night. At that time there were only 2 copies of it in stock--something that truly designates a new author.

Although ATTK was released before TF I didn't discover it until after I read TF. I bought ATTK and started handselling it and TF to all our customers.

It's one of my favorite book memories.

However, John being my 2nd favorite celeb is still light years behind Steve!
