She notices the newcomer and sidles up, ears back. She snaps at the mare and awaits the others reaction.

The young mare approaches at a cautious trot, steering clear of her dam as she recognises the mare's body language. It is not safe to go too close, not yet!

She stands on the other side of her steed and whickers softly.

The newly-weaned filly prances up sideways, a little over-confidant. She shakes her head and bucks, then leaps and nips Pepsi, her dam, on the rump before dancing away with a squeal of delight. She has not yet lost her foalish ways.

She kicks out and snorts, but does not waste any more energy on her youngtest daughter. She is no longer a foal, and she shall not play with her. She jerks her muzzle towards Morning Glory then snaps it back into her chest, shaking her head from side-to-side.

*he nips at her neck and flatens his ear at her. that was her last warning. If she tried anything else she would be band from this herd. he turns back to the new mare and nickers softly. To see that side of him, angrey, was very unusual, only when he was pushed over the limit would he ever hurt one of his own mares*

She squeals in fury, and lashes out - yet the kick is not meant to make contact, and it doesn't. What was he warning her from? She glowers at him, eyes dark, but makes no advance.
