She prances sideways, nervous. For a moment or two, she gazes at the unknown stallion, then drops her head and moves towards him. It is not her choice, she has been claimed and must go. Soft whicker of farewell is directed t'wards dam and half-sister, and then she is gone.

Irritated by the steal, alpha brood moves off at a trot round the area, herding the others closer together. Her squeals drift across the icy air as she kicks warningly, the need to keep the rest close together and safe driving through her.

Mare snorts, stamping a hindfoot and glaring around. It is her duty to protect the herd as best she can whilst the steed is away, and she shall do that to the very best of her abilities.
