Subject: Well, we've got the fool, and nunneries are boring - so Hamlet, we choose Door #2.
In reply to: Hroth 's message, "Get thee to a nunnery!!" on 01:47:49 04/02/05 Sat

From the sound of that roar, Hroth sounds annoyed, and Vitaliath is filled with a sense of smug satisfaction as she continues towards the distant water. In the back of her mind, she feels a thrill of pleasure from her distant rider, and her entire body twists suddenly in a sort of shivering wriggle. Between the two of them, they're not going to last too much longer. But now she seems to feel his eyes on her again, and sure enough, soon she can hear Hroth's wings against the air. He's coming closer - too close! - and she speeds up, feeling him over her for a heart-stopping moment before he falls behind. And then there's a sudden sharp pain in her tail, and the green shrieks and lashes out with a hind foot, more in irritation than hurt. The rumble fills her with a pleasant anticipation, and Vitaliath sharply reminds herself that she's not done making him pay for his idiocy. Not yet, at any rate. Angling up again, she soars skywards, flightlust powering her wild arial gyrations and allowing her to overwork her compact muscles without immediate consequence, hurling her delicate, gleaming shape into elaborate curliques and spirals as she ascends towards the stars without loosing speed or momentum. She'll regret this later, no doubt, but right now she's filled with the exhilaration of the flight, a rush of powerful emotion from A'dian, and the joy of doing aerobatics that Hroth couldn't dream of copying without falling well behind. The air is thinning rapidly, and her breath comes in rapid-fire bursts as her lungs heave and struggle to fill themselves, but she ignores the ache in her chest and the incipient burning of oxygen-starved muscles. She could go to those stars, or she feels like it, a glowing green leading a silly but beloved brown through the depths of space....
