In reply to: Taka 's message, "layout AND contrast" on 23:32:19 06/25/01 Mon

if you set up frames then you can organise the page so it can centre on browser re-shuffle. or you can layout the type in p/shop for a more refined look so that you are not stuck to the dreaded five typefaces of the internet. This will also stop the text resizing. however this is annoying to edit . Even if you do not to the type in pshop at least make the type smaller, i would suggest size 2 or even 1.

hello
i have done some of what you said so the type now stays centered on the page and the type size is smaller.
I have been told that there is a way of keeping the whole page properly proportioned, type and all, so that it doesnt matter what resolution the viewers monitor is set to however it uses java script, i will try to find out about it .

May be there was a problem with my English.
What I meant was this

I have put another invisible horizontal line.
It is a strong line from the logo which you can also use it as a guideline for the layout.
You can also consider about aligning the right side of the sentences (not aligning to the logo like you did). I know it is difficult to align both side, but it will look nice when it is in square shape. Some designers work with copywriters and they help you by making the sentences short (or long?), change the words to make it fit.

The Non-Designer's Design Book

I often read this book to get the sense of simple layout.

The Non-Designer's Web Book

I have not checked this one, but I heard that it is also good. So if you are going to book stores, may be you can have a quick look so you can get the idea.
