In reply to: Jenny 's message, "try to put some initial logo design here!!" on 02:48:25 06/28/01 Thu

These are from the DNA idea, which also denotes "link", "connect", "before and after", etc.

The whole chain can be like this. You can also imagine it being the wrapping strip of paper for the 20 folded posters.

And some more crap~ which should look more like a straight line cramped in a square, when it's B&W

I wonder what's in you mind...? These are only my drafts, show yours!

the idea is:
we are living in the era of mixed cultures.
Is it going to the right direction?
What is going on inside?
Where are we going?

The logo is mirror reversed and makes you see it as an image. AND as a background image of cc..
Lets step back and see what is happening.

The image leads to the word DNA, which denotes "link", "connect", "before and after" , gcontinuityh, gidentity",etc

lots more coming!!!!
I hope.....(hahaha)

i don't know if it has to have it,
since the title changes every issue.

I also trhink that it's stil andmagazine so there is no problemof having 'and' in it.

so do you want a sign or something?
that represent....what?
it is an interesting opinion so lets get
started!!
I'll try it too.
or am I misunderstanding the point?

I gotta go now.
see you later (^o^)/~

I thought of mabe a symbol that represents many things coming together but prehaps we could think about someting that represents change & connection what do you think

i think anything reasonably abstract that links with coming together / change. Nothing with type as we can always add that depending on the magazines titles?

that sounds good but i think we could do with having a type version that works with any symbol, it doest mean we have to use it much but i think it would help create a more cohisive identity

Yep, what i meant was something that 'can' work with type but is strong on its own as a visual identity. So if the name is changing then the logo constantly fits

well, I fully agree with the point about having a logo without using the word "and". As the title will constantly change, unless we have all the "in", "if" word also designed in the the same way as the "and" in that logo, we can't fit them all in.

Or maybe you can make 6 logos that can act as a series~
