Welcome to BRE's Recover/Care Board. If your horse has...

Just gone through a serious operation/procedure
Gotten over a serious illness
Been overworked
Been injured
Or just plain needs a break

Then this is where they should be. Basically, this is a boarding facility for our equine companions that are on the recovery list or need a break. We feed

Dust~Vacuumed premium alfalfa hay[or pellets] and/or orchard hay.
Vitamins/necessary supplements
Healthy treats occasionally
Purified water
Light oats [if requested]

We have:

15 paddocks: five 1-acre, five 2-acre, & five 1/2-acre. We rotate them evenly & they are tilled every winter. They are also monitored closely, & horses turned out are turned out with compatible equines.
We have thirty 14x14 stalls. The barn is heated in the winter time & has small fans going during summer.
We have two arenas for longing etc, no heavy riding, as this is not a boarding barn, but a recovery facility: 130 x 220 indoor, 100 x 200 outdoor.

Four bathing stations: equipped w/warm water
If you'll take a look over by the feed storage room, you'll see a small 'closet.' This is where we heat damp/wet blankets, so in the winter your horses have nice toasty blankets!

To board your horse here for whatever purpose, you must have the following:

Horse name:
Gender: [stallion, mare, gelding, filly, colt]
Scenario: [either vet or spa]
Requesting: feed [you may bring own], turnout, aqua therapy, who turned out w/, for how long, etc.
Special comments about your horse? [behavior w/others, special allergies, etc]
Payment: [$20 per horse for spa, free if horse recommended here by vet]
