I don't know Hick, so i can only comment on his batting. He is a proven failure, a type of player England seem to continually pick. players who play over 20 or 30 tests never are certain of a place, perform in the county game and are wheeled back into the test arena to fulfill their talent. as examples i shall give Butcher, Crawley, Ramprakash, Croft, and the top two Lewis and Hick. Just look at the county figures for Vaughan and Trescothick to see that it is not performance in a poor competition that counts, but ability, class and mental strength.

bye the way Ronnie, why do you never leave the e-mail address?
