The stallion watches her sadly, then follows her into the shadows to stand at her side.
"Oh, Midnight Thunder," he says quietly, "I never knew. You poor thing..." he extends a muzzle and gently touches her on the neck. "It does not matter to me that you were brought up evil - you are not evil now, are you?" he smiles weakly, and nuzzles her again. "You want to know about me?" he laughs softly. "Oh, you do not need to know, I'm sure. I suppose in a way I am very much like you ... both evil and good are in my blood. My father was one of the hated Black Unicorns; my mother a pure white, good and peacable, like Angel..." he voice drifts away and he looks out to sea. "But never mind that - I am sure you don't really want to hear my story!" he laughs again. "I would never have the time to tell it all anyway!"
Once more, he nuzzles her, hoping to make it known that he will stand by her for always.
