Subject: Riding Author: Mellonie [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 08:31:40 08/05/01 Sun Mellonie trots in on Sweety, and begin some English Flat exersizes. After 45 min. of flat work Mellonie dismounts and put Sweety in her stall, "I'll bring you back out in just a second." She sets up a small cavaletii corse and mounts back up on Sweety. "Come on my baby I know you can do this." We come to the first cavalitii and she jumps it great. We canter to the next one and does well on that one too. "You're doing wonderful Sweety just relaxe and keep going." I say encouraging her on. We get to a big Cavaletii and I push her on hopeing the same thing won't happen again that happened last time. She leaps over it with no problem and continues the corse. We jump the other large cavaletii evan better than the first. I dismount and pet her on the neck, "This evening will work some more." I say exitedly. I un tack Sweety and she is sweaty so I just sponge her of pick her feet and put her back in her stall. I set up some 3 and 4 foot jumps and go tack up Tex. I do about 10 min. of flat and then start working on the corse I set up. He flys around jumping each jump I ask him to. I do many combonations with the jumps each one he does flowlesly, "Good Boy!" I say as I pat his neck and dismount. He is also is sweaty so I sponge him too. I then put him in his stall. I set up a 2 and 3 foot corse and go tack up Short Cake. I do 15 min. of flat work and then work on the corse. She nocks over the same bar 3 times so I lower it and she does MUCH better! A little later I Bring herin , untack and sponge her off. I change the corse and I raise the hight of the jumps. Then mount Eeagle and do flat for 10 min. then work on the corse. He doesn't miss any jumps. We work another hour and then I praise him and dismount. I sponge him off. I fly spray each of the horses and let them out in the pasture. I fill the water troffs outside and the water backets in their stalls. I give each of them a flake of hay and some Sweet Feed. Then I muck their stalls and 2 hours later I bring them in.
