I brought Redails Hawk out of his stall and put him on Cross Ties (witch he was NOT happy about!). *Easy little colt you're fine* I say in a comferting voice. He tries to bite me the whole time I groom him. *Would you stop!* I say *You will get used to grooming soon*
*What a cutie!* I hear someone say. I turn to look and see my friend Sammy standing there eyes on my beautiful colt.
*Your just in time to see his work out* I say
*Great! I can't wait!* She says excitedly
*Could you help me get the longing equitment on him?* I ask
*Sure*
He is unhappy with the tack and bucks 2 times.
*I think we're ready.* I say leading him in to the large indoor longing arena.
I ask him for a walk and he proudly goes around the arena at a working walk. After going around at a walk for a while, I flick the whip behind him gently and ask for a trot, but what I get is a happy and excited Colt galloping around the arena!
*Whoooooooooooo.* I say to him as I pull back on the rains reluctantly he slows to a trot and finaly I get hin to stop. I go over to him and say, *Looks like it's the race track for you! But I will still jump you too.*
*That was crazy little guy!* Sammy says comming over.
*I'm going to race him when he gets older.* I reply.
* I'm going to to walk, trot, canter, and gallop in both directions then take him in.*
I do just that and he does well for his first time, although he gave a few happy bucks at the gallop.
I untack, pick his hooves and sponge him off and let him out in the pasture with all the other horses. I do some barn chores (Sammy goes back to her barn to work with her horses) and 3 hours later I bring them back in.
I had a good time!
