Flame picks himself up quickly and scrambles over to his father so quickly that he stumbles, then sits in front of his father, head down, expecting the lecture. Weapon picks himself up slowly and shakes himself off, then begins to walk over slowly. Amaroq's eyes flash and he snaps his jaws angrily. the pup runs over and sits beside his brother, but his eyes flash with defiance as he looks at his father.*Boys* Amaroq says* don't fight amongst yourselves. we must remember who the enemy is.*he sighs*perhaps it is time to begin your training. you have too much energy to be sitting around and doing nothing anymore.*he looks at them sharply.*we begin tomorrow. and remeber what I said. now go.*Flame stands up and leans against his father, then gazes up at him with pure adoration. Amaroq's eyes soften for a moment as the pup runs off. Weapon stands up and nods to his father, then turns his back and begins to saunter away.*Weapon!*he booms out, his voice low and loud. the pup stops in his tracks and trembles slightly.*come here* the pup turns around, this time keeping his eyes on the ground.*who is the alpha of this land? who is king?*he demands*tell me!*you are sir.*he syas softly.*who is your father?*he demands again.*you are sir.*he whispers.*that's right.*he snaps.* I'm your father, as well as your king, which means you will respect me. Do I make myself clear?*his eyes flash angrily.*yes, Father.* the pups shoulders sag, and he hangs his head.*good. then we will have no more of these discussions. now go!* the pup turns and runs off, and his father's eyes light up with pride as his son goes. he turns to Zyrix and sighs.*he's so arrogant. right now that's not a good thing, to be arrogant towards me, and it angers me so, but he will be a powerful wolf, and he is learning. a king will not allow himself to answer to anybody. But Flame wishes to learn all he can, and he respects my wishes. he is intelligent, and will be able to think matters through. beneath his quiet exterior is a fire, I believe.*he sighs.*yes, t'will be a hard decision.*
