Subject: Special tonight (Jan. 13th) on Joplin, MO - Extreme Home Makeover

Tonight, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" wraps its network run with the results of its 7-homes-in-7-days project in tornado-ravaged Joplin, Mo., last October. The design team, approximately 13,000 volunteers and 21 builders also refurbished a local park, created a new playground and created a memorial site dedicated to those who came to the aid of others during and after the tornado.

Joplin was struck by a catastrophic tornado May 22 that killed 161 people and destroyed nearly 8,000 homes. The series finale airs 7-9 p.m. on ABC, Jan. 13, 2012.

What an emotional show last night! BTW, the big wood map of the United States that Ty Pennington had the volunteers put strings on illustrating where they came from? Pitt State's Wood Technology students built that. I just wish more people had more homes there now. In time, Joplin will be rebuilt. More and more business are opening up. But the loss of lives and physical and emotional wounds can never be completely healed.
