I laughed out loud when I read that because naturally I tried and couldn't. Very cute!
Wish he'd sign back on here. :(

Yep, I miss "hearing his voice" 'round here too Jenny!
In fact ...
- there's quite a few people who are a long time "M.I.A." around here!
- where are ya's and how are ya's?! :)
btw, i love an "aussie" accent! :)

I know he's busy with Paso, but I wish he'd pop in and give us an "G'Day Mate."
I don't think we're all that far from each other. I'm in Indy. Doing well. Did you get my second e-mail?
I love an Aussie accent, too. But I must admit, the other night, my husband had Braveheart on and when I heard his Scottish accent, I instantly looked up; half expecting to see Dr. MacNeal. :)
How are things your way?

Hi Jenny!
Yep, I received your most recent email ... but, when I initially responded ... it was returned to my email account as "mail not delivered" ... I just re-sent a response early this morning ... so, I hope it works this time?! :)
I hope you have a great rest of the week!

Re: a challenge ... -- Brittany, 16:17:28 05/06/12 Sun
Is it cheating to use an exaggerated Southern accent? ;P
I had a friend in high school who was a foreign exchange student from Australia, and after I found out where he was from, my first reaction was to say, "Well then. G'Day Mate!" Luckily I was able to resist and I hope he appreciated it since I'm sure that's what everyone else was saying. I think he was already annoyed with me because he had me guess where he was from and it took like five tries and a hint *facepalm* That was before I knew my accents, okay, lol?
Also wanted to say hi and welcome to Jenny!!!

Too funny! I had an Aussie friend on a chat room years ago, named Steve. He sent me a voice recording of all the Australian sayings he could think of. We talked on the phone once (with a phone card..before cells became popular) and he could have been cussing me out, I didn't care; I loved his accent! :)
Thanks for the welcome Brittany!

LOL!!! Yes, I quite know the feeling! I found my friend after like ten years (or did he find me?) and we're friends on Facebook now, and he writes these status updates with all this slang that I have no idea what he is talking about. Do I hit "like"? Is this good or bad? Luckily it doesn't matter on FB if I pass something up instead of when we were face to face and he had to repeat everything like three times before I would just smile and nod :P I wonder why he put up with me . . .
I do love just listening to accents, though, if I don't have to understand what is being said and can just enjoy them. It's a lot like music, isn't it? Or maybe it is taking something that has become ordinary and making it more interesting?
